Apr 24, 2016 - UnleashX is a replacement dashboard for the Xbox, it is an alternative to the original Microsoft Dashboard. Disneyland paris rct2 download full version. Arriving late to the Xbox modification.
Nigelbb, I don't think you can add an item to the front page any more, I think that's been moved into the coded part of the GUI. But, if you navigate to the XBMC folder on your xbox, there's a file called XboxMediaCentre.xml, which contains information on tailoring the application. There's a section called which contains the menu items on the My Programs option on the front page. I don't know if you can execute a python script directly, but you can add a link to an xbe which can be executed. Here's the lines I appended to the bottom of that section:- Enter menu item text here F: Apps box explorer default.xbe 1 These go before the line:-. When you restart XBMC, go into My Programs, you should see an extra item.
When you choose it, it will show an icon you can move to and run (with A button). Hope this helps, Rob. Click to expand.Hi Nigel, Don't think you can add buttons but you can sure cahnge them Pinched from my post here: I was struggling to add buttons to my XBMC homepage, editing xboxmediacenter.xml had no effect but all is explained on this page I didnt need 'My Music' or 'My Weather' so following the instructions on the above webpage I have changed the following bold sections of the Home.xml file which is found in the XBMC - Skin - Pal16:9 folder. Now have 'Xlink Kai' & 'Restart Kaid' buttons on my homepage My Music normal push button button 3 91 350 14 13 Xlink Kai XBMC.ActivateWindow(2700) special13 98 99 5 7 home-focus.gif - 30!Window.IsActive(56) My Weather normal push button button 7 91 388 14 13 Restart Kaid special13 Q: scripts restartkaid.py 98 99 3 9 home-focus.gif - 30!Window.IsActive(56) HTH John. XBMC is the best dashboard (and only dash!) to run on your Xbox if your Xbox has internet access, i.e. Xlink Kai is also another reason - I'll say no more! (You can also set scripts to load automatically on XBMC boot - autoexec.py) EvoX is the basic of basic dashboards, very stable, and easy to configure and create your own skins.
Avalaunch and UnleashX are also pretty good - UnleashX apparently lets you go online and download game saves (special ones!) for games you have backed up to your HD - I haven't tried as I won't even entertain the possibility of changing dashboard - XBMC is the only way for me! Gary, Before you start can you confirm the following: Do you have a boot disc, like evolution-x? Are your xbmc files/folders in F:/Apps/XBMC? On your C partition do you have evoxdash.xbe? Ok, If you don't have a boot disk do all this in one go, in other words dont reboot your PC or XBOX until finished! Otherwise it may not boot-up FTP in to your xbox and goto F:Apps/XBMC and transfer over to your pc: default.xbe xboxmediacenter.xml Leave your FTP program open, we'll be coming back to it shortly. Open the xboxmediacenter.xml file with wordpad and look for the following: F: Apps XBMC The part in bold needs to be entered by you.
Next look for this part: C: evoxdash2.xbe Enter the part in bold again. Now close down wordpad, making sure you save changes. Ok now the default.xbe you transferred over earlier needs to be renamed to evoxdash.xbe Now back to the FTP program, navigate to xbox C partition and rename your xboxdash.xbe to evoxdash2.xbe Next transfer both the edited xboxmediacenter.xml and evoxdash.xbe (which you renamed from default.xbe) from your pc TO THE XBOX C PARTITION That should do it Internet wise how were you connecting your xbox, to a router or direct to pc and what network cable, crossover or patch? Hi John thanks for the reply Do you have a boot disc, like evolution-x? No Are your xbmc files/folders in F:/Apps/XBMC? No it lives in F:/XBMC (but i assume i can always leave the 'apps' bit out.) On your C partition do you have evoxdash.xbe? The only Xbe's i have are msxboxdash.xbe and xboxdash.xbe i'm going to assume that 'xboxdash' is actully evoxdash (its 770.048) and this is what i should rename XBMC (default.xbe).
As for the internet access i use a linksys router. I'm going to continue though until i hear from you regarding xbe's dont want to rename the wrong file and have 'D'oh' moment. No probs about the reply Gary, you did say you were out and I was only posting from work on my mobile Still shocked your chip bios wouldn't boot 'evoxdash.xbe' as to my knowledge all xecuter bioses will look for this before even attempting 'xboxdash.xbe' Check the table on this page Then again you did say in your pm that you were using an xecuter 1 chip and that table only lists X2, so it must be using a very old bios that only looks for xboxdash.xbe.
