To improve search results for Nistune try to exclude using words such as: serial, code, keygen, hacked, patch, warez, etc. Simplifying your search query should return more download results. Many downloads like Nistune may also include a crack, serial number, unlock code.
Helpful Resources: Feel free to send suggestions via mod mail, especially Z31 guys. Related Subreddits. I know Nistune is already a thing, but I figured that an open source option would allow more freedom for the Z community and allow us to discover better ways to tune our Z cars. It would be great to have an inexpensive method of tuning on the fly, IMO.
I'm just curious as to who else might be interested in such a project. I'm a fairly competent C programmer, so all I really need help on are things that are particular to the Z's hardware (such as the instance when the ECU accesses the EEPROM during startup, binary data from various EEPROMs, et cetera). There's a lot that's been done, and is going on in the Z32 tuning world. Socketing an ECU (pulling the eprom and installing a socket so that the eprom can be replaced easily) isn't hard. I've done many.
I also know several people that tune have eprom burners to be able to burn the tune and install. There's also the option of a microcontroller type device that emulates an eprom but can be reprogrammed on the fly, or can switch maps based on an external input. (like maybe an ethanol content sensor) The does just that, but I don't think it has any external inputs. I'd say come check out the page. Gary, the guy that started the page is the guy behind and has been playing with the Z32's ecu and electronics for years.
Personally, I've been working with an arduino to connect to a consult connector and log and display data. I haven't done a ton of programming, so it's kind of my project to get me familiar with serial protocol. The EEPROMs of our ECU are not alterable. You have to change the EEPROM in order to change values of the ECU. Good to know, thanks for your input! EEPROMs are dirt cheap these days, so I'm sure we could just replace the OEM EEPROM with an EEPROM with modified data values.
I do have a dummy ECU that I bought off of someone on a 300ZX parts-for-sale facebook page. While I'm confident with my programming skills, unfortunately I am somewhat lacking in the soldering/desoldering department:P • • • • •. I'm sure we could just replace the OEM EEPROM with an EEPROM with modified data values. Yes, this is exactly how tuners alter the ECU in our beloved Z32. They solder in a EEPROM socked so they don't have to re-solder the ROM every time they create a new one with altered values. Furthermore the Z32-community in my region (Europe) created a tuning chip that has a flash storage on it. So you con't even have to change the EEPROM but upload the new maps via USB through the consult interface.
English besson trumpet serial numbers. Last official number? 1993: 820xxx parts were sent to Courtois for assembly: 1994: manufacture of low brass transferred to B&S, Courtois for cornets and alto horns. 1997: 852299: 1998: 865491: 2001: Production moved to Besson plant in Croxley Green (Watford) where Schreiber parts were briefly used (Schreiber and Besson were part of the same company).
If you are interested the chip is called TwinChip. You could have at leasted posted relevant information yourself. But anyhow, I did the research: You are right, it is correct that NIStune not only sells software but a hardware daughter board that can be added to the ECU so it gets adjustable and tuneable. Only downside regarding to TwinChip is that NIStune: These ECUs use different knock sensors which will need to be disabled, some other modification including connecting both O2 sensors together and removing fuel temp input to the ECU are required.
