The slide is a great fit. It does not rattle like the ones I was around in the military, and the rifling looks good also. I don't have the serial number. I have owned a Ithaca model 1911 for over 45 years, Now retired I have just started to research some of my weapons. The serial number is 1,896,766 my research shows in 1944 Ithaca manufactured to 1,890,503 and did not produce anymore until 19445 starting with serial number 2,075,104 If you can shed some light on this please do so.
