Hi All,Im a real newbie when it comes to graphics.inf drivers and am looking for some help. Intel 82915g chipset in displaying the native resolution of my Hanns G HG221A monitor. I am running Windows 7 Build 7600 RC.

This video is in HTML5, so if the video is only 4m 30s then use firefox (or chrome, but I cannot vouch for chrome). My problem with my second Hanns G HG281D.

Seems a lot of people are having problems with these. I've read that you can just take these apart and replace the capacitors, but I'm not skilled nor experienced enough to do so. And since I live in a small town, I don't know of nobody here that I'd trust, or anybody whom I can pay to do it for me. The problem with mine started about a year ago, where the picture would occasionally blink. Changing the screen resolution fixed it for about 6-7 hours, as did leaving it off for a while. Later, parts of the picture started 'shimmering' (pixels would change colors) right before it would blink repeatedly. Finally, the colors would do what I can only describe as 'strobe coloring' -- they would over-contrast and distort, as well as shimmer, then the blinking got worse.

Also, the buttons don't respond very well, and I cannot adjust the brightness or contrast. Volume up/down works, but that's about it. I've swapped cables and went with a (spendy, effing no good computer parts store here) HDMI cable, but it didn't fix the problem. I cannot test the VGA output as I don't have the adapters for it, nor anything old enough that could use it. I'm also sorry about the low quality of this video. My webcam (Logitech Quickcam some ) only does 720p@15fps, and only records to WMV, so I didn't want to encode this with my usual settings.

Also, WMV sucks as I can't easily splice them. This video was made because tech support told me I could make pics or videos. Unfortunately, they never got back to me. I ended up getting a QNIX Evo 2, and while I got a dud powerbrick, once I got it replaced I'm now capable of 1440P@120hz! Disclaimer: I use a picture of Adam Savage from the mythbusters as fair use (I totally didn't mean to use that, but it was a good example of monitor glitchiness that I couldn't pass up). Any desktop picture I also Fairly use as well.

I don't intend to steal/copy/misuse anything.
