ROAD TO RECOVERY Thank you for coming together to help one another during the recent fires. Your resilience, bravery and community spirit reminded me once again why Sonoma Valley is such a special place to live and visit. While we received the recent good news that Highway 12 is open, many selfless first responders are still battling to protect Kenwood and Glen Ellen. As a community we will continue to support them, and all our neighbors who have suffered losses from the fires – many of whom still aren’t able to go back home. Burrraahh punjabi movie video songs download. We look forward to the moment when we can say our entire valley is safe and beginning to take the necessary steps to move forward. As we look ahead to the future, our efforts as the visitor’s bureau will be placed on working with our community and stakeholders on ensuring tourism rebounds and the Sonoma Valley economy is strengthened as quickly as possible.
We need to let prospective visitors know a lot of our business community is reopen for business, and still as friendly, fun and beautiful as ever. Please use the below tools to help us with misconceptions that Sonoma Valley isn’t a viable tourist destination, and spread the word that visitors’ already planned and yet-to-be-scheduled trips will not only help Sonoma Valley rebound, but provide each and every traveler with as wonderful of a getaway as ever.
SOCIAL MEDIA: • Post pictures of your business and the scenic beauty that makes Sonoma a unique area. Damaged or destroyed areas, or other negative imagery will be a challenge in reinforcing the safety and beauty of Sonoma Valley. The media has focused on the devastation; let’s now show potential visitors what hasn’t changed and showcase why they should visit.
• Post about coming together as a community – businesses, people or animals who did something heroic, or gave back to others. • Post about upcoming events and specific reasons to visit. • Hashtags are an important part of social media campaigns. IN the short term, we will be utilizing #SonomaStrong.
We will continue to assess other hashtags and release those as the opportunities are presented. • Show before and after pictures of your establishment still standing proudly – and open – and remind visitors that it’s part of #SonomaStrong they know and love. Image layouts (such as the example below) can be generated using apps such as Instagram Layout and Pic Stitch. Instagram Albums can also be utilized if you want to include multiple photos in your post. • Example post: Our historic Plaza stands tall, before and after the fires.
